Consider its energy level as some breeds like the Abyssinian and Tonkinese are considered high-energy breeds. Long-haired breeds will require daily brushing and regular grooming. Certain breeds are prone to genetic problems that you may need to be prepared for in terms of bills, time, and emotional energy.
