Mentor Q & A

Is it true that kittens and cats suck your breath?
 Are all calico cats female?
What does the M on a tabby's forehead stand for?
In your chart on approximately how a cat's age compared to a human's, you say that after the first 2 human years it is about 4 cat years every human year. Then between 4 & 5 human years of age you jump from 33 cat years to 39 cat years instead of 37. Is there a specific reason for this or was it a mistake?
How many nipples does a female cat have?
My cat used to be gray and white striped. I noticed that she has lost her stripes within the past year (she is about 5 years old). How is this possible?
I "rescued" my Russian Blue, four years ago when she was about two years old, according to the vet. She is a loving and lovable one-person (me!) cat, quite shy, but clearly content. She "talks" often, usually when she simply wants my attention for some reason, or to be fed. However, she has never purred! Why would this be?
I have two 9-month-old cats. We found them outside when they were about 4 weeks. The first time we took them to the vet, she said the male has a herniated umbilical cord. What is this, and is it harmful for the cat?
We just adopted a female orange and white tabby kitten. I've been told that the orange coloring in a female cat is rare. Is this true and if so could you give me some statistics on orange females?
I have a cat (white with orange & black splashings). She is a year old and has one blue eye and one green eye. How common is this? Is there an explanation for this and could it be a problem? The texture of the pupils look different.
My kitten is 8 months old. He has been fixed and now he has this extra skin hanging between his back area. What is it?
My cat has never meowed. She makes a sound that is similar to a raccoon. Is there something wrong?
How can I remove the staining around my Persian cat's eyes? I've tried very product on the market but nothing helps. Is there something that can be taken internally that will help?
