Boarding our cat is getting expensive. How can we incorporate her into our week-long trips? She is strictly an indoor cat. How would you suggest we handle motel visits (e.g.: a sign saying: cat in residence, don't open the door!) Should we start to leash train her? HELP!

Our cat will fly 3 hrs in airplane in "cabin kennel" with me. He'll only be under my seat during takeoff & landing. I paid $150 for this privilege. Is there a homeopathic medication I can give him to relax, not sedate. Do you still recommend no medicine? Should I not feed nor allow water 8 hours before flight? Should I prepare for defecation or throw up in the "kennel"?
