Mentor Q & A

My cat is almost 10 years old. Is it necessary to change his diet as he gets older?
I have two very old cats (15 And 18) that are losing their teeth. Does Purina make a cat food that is nutritionally sound but soft on their teeth?
Can you recommend a good high fiber commercial food for my 14-year-old neutered male who has occasional constipation difficulty? He takes Cat-Lax and is under the care of a vet who has recommended Metamucil when he becomes constipated. It works, but I have a very difficult time getting Felix to take it.
My cat is a 15-year-old male cat weighing approximately 13 pounds. Is dry food safe for him?
My cat will be 12 years old this year. When is it appropriate to change his Cat Chow to the Senior diet?
I've been told by my vet to feed my cats (10, 11 years old) Purina Senior Cat Food. One of my boy cats had a urinary tract problem several years ago. I've been feeding all of them special urinary tract food since then. Which should my boy cat eat?
Can older cats eat Kitten Chow?
