My cat scratches the side of the water dish before she drinks it, then barely takes a sip. Have you heard of this? Why does she do it? She is a very happy, healthy 1-year-old cat.

My cat is used to drinking water out of the sink and a bowl in my bathroom. I recently purchased her a new water dish and put it in the kitchen. She keeps going into the bathroom expecting her water. I pick her up and carry her into the kitchen where her water dish is. She just runs back into the bathroom and jumps on the counter. I would like to know how to train her to drink out of her dish in the kitchen.
