They're all grown up—it's time to start treating, and feeding, them that way. Just because they're older, however, doesn't mean they're completely self-sufficient. Adult cats have nutritional needs particular to their life stage just as kittens and senior cats do, and they need your help to meet them. The CatChow.com Adult Care Center will clue you in on what you need to know.

Mentor Q & A

I have used Purina Special Care with my 10 older indoor cats for several years. They all are now overweight and have small hard stool (small amounts). One is now impacted. Is there anything else I should feed or supplements for healthy stools?
What does a cat show when it has Worms? What do you do if they have this?
How do I keep the cat from throwing up?
My cat was diagnosed with corona virus. He has had diarrhea and vomits from eating grass. He wants to eat tartar control treats frequently and then vomits them up. Any suggestions as what I can do to help his discomfort? I found him as a stray and he checked out healthy otherwise. He is about 5 years old.
My cat suffers from digestion/constipation, an after effect of an intestinal stricture that was removed as a kitten. Due to this he has trouble keeping a steady weight. Can you suggest a good dietary high calorie diet to help him sustain a good balance.
