What is the recommended amount of food a kitten should eat in one day? Mine eats all the time and I don't want him to get overweight. What do you suggest?

I am currently feeding my kitten dry food only. When is it appropriate to begin introducing wet food to him as well?

Is it ok to feed Kitten Chow to cats until they are almost 2 years old? We have 1 cat that is about 14 months old and one kitten that is four months old.

Is it okay to feed your cat raw meat? My vet asst. says no, that it will bind them up and make them sick. However, I've been feeding my cats (age 8 and 4 mos.) little pieces (10 each) of sirloin daily for 3 mos. now without a problem. They love it! (This, of course, is supplemented with top grade dry food.) Should I continue this practice or listen to the vet and put an end to it (and why)?
